The Hope Initiative 

The HOPE (Habits that Offer a Positive Existence) Initiative is a holistic, authentic, engaging, thought-provoking, introspective, person-centered wellness initiative. The HOPE Initiative is a unique approach that focuses on four crucial elements of Self Care and Resiliency.
1. Emotional Wellness
2- Fitness and Nutritional Wellness
3- Creating Your Space of Peace
4- Creating Your Blueprint for Life

The objective of the HOPE Initiative is to offer effective wellness strategies and coping mechanisms that will reduce anxiety, absenteeism, unnecessary and avoidable stress, attrition, and burnout. The time devoted to this approach offers the individual an opportunity to reflect, renew, regain, and actively participate in developing a Post Pandemic Mindset. Participants will gain an understand of the following:

·     Participants will gain a greater understanding of the importance of recognizing internal and external stressors that negatively impact their professional, emotional, and physical well-being.                                                                           

·      Participants will be provided strategies, resources, and effective methods to minimize or eliminate negative stressors impacting their lives, thus resulting in positive outcomes and greater emphasis on taking care of one's emotional wellness.                                                          

The following learning outcomes will be accomplished: 

· Participants will acquire effective wellness strategies, mindful-methods and accessible resources to reduce their levels of anxiety, absenteeism, unnecessary stress, and employee burnout.  

· Participants will gain the necessary skills and tools  necessary to increase their  Mental Health and Wellness, Self-Awareness, Self-Care, Attendance, Morale, and Productivity.

1. Self-awareness leads to putting in place actions which will increase emotional and physical wellness

How to Motivate the Unmotivated" is comprised of 5 interactive modules, each containing multiple mini lessons, reading notes/handouts, a reflective booklet, and a formative assessment.
This self-paced reflective booklet includes daily learning log and templates for completing tasks.
The reflective booklet reinforces what the teacher has learned and offers action steps throughout each module.

How To Motivate The Unmotivated is a proven student-centered instructional strategy using the Care Approach model. This strategy, when followed and executed with both consistency and fidelity, students are successful inside and outside the classroom.

Educators learn proven strategies and effective methods to create opportunities for students to recognize behaviors impeding their learning. In addition, educators will learn how to assist students in developing coping mechanisms and individual management processes to modulate negative stressors impacting student educational success.

Ultimately, these strategies will give educators a greater understanding of the complexities of motivating students who have been deemed unmotivated. In the end, educators will acquire the knowledge and tools to inspire students to become willing and active participants in their education.
